Does anyone know if a turned metal/one piece substitute barrel is available for any of the M1 or M1A1 1/35 kits(i.e. Tamiya, Academy, Dragon)...and WHERE I might get one ?

Barrel Depot makes a barrel for the Abrams and I think Modelpoint makes one as well, but I'm not certain. Most online stores and mail order stores carry one or both brands. FWIW, I go to squadron.com, missionmodels or modelmecca.com

Barrel Depot, 35007, for the M1A1/A2 costs only $14.98 or less. Barrel Depot also does a 105mm barrel that could be used for the early M1.

Barell Depot seem to be one of the cheapest on the scene. I'm not much of an AM guy, simply because the cost of even the simplest AM piece pretty much can double the overall cost of a project, and that's something I find hard to digest.
