Many thanks for the photo. Looks easy enough to scratch. I should really pick up a StuG guide from Squadron.

The former. I've scratched these things before, but this is why they make PE.

Tank tow cables
Posted by Copterguy on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 7:30 PM
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows how tow cables are fastened to the sponsons of a tank such as my StuG? Are they latched with brackets/butterfly nuts like the jack or are they held with tightening straps? It seems darn unrealistic to just lay them down and glue them to the sponsons as per the instructions. Any ideas on how the fabricate a reasonable fastener (ie. from tape, brass, etc.)? Many thanks.
