hey all,
figured I would post a pic of this Tiger I built. I dont normally do armour, but it seems to be growing on me. This is the first tank I have done In 20 plus years, and since I finished this one I have done a recovery vehicle (tiger) , flak gun (german) , halftrack, and am currently working on a leopould from trumpiter. Well heres a pic, any advice is sure welcome since this armour thing is kinda new.

Looks great , you should dry brush the tracks steel along with the cables. Is the color panzer grey or that Tunisia olive (its late and my eyes hurt so its hard to tell). Welcome to the brother hood of treadheads.

Very good looking "Tiger" other then the suggestion on the tracks and cables, there's not much more you could do to improve your build. Thanks for sharing. Semper Fi, mike

It's a little difficult to gauge since the pic itself is relatively dark, but it looks like a nice clean build. Only recommendation I'd have would be to tone down the orange/rust if you are after a realistic depiction of an early Tiger. A little bit of rust might have been present on the tracks and tow cables, but they wouldn't have been completely rusted over like something exposed for long periods of time or harsh conditions might have. Since you didn't add any dirt/dust/mud from what I can tell from the pic, the heavy rust seems out of place. Just my opinion, of course. Big Smile [:D]

Great job as well on the tool details, can really see you put some effort into making them look like they belong on the vehicle.

There can never be to many Tigers. [:D Looks like you've done a nice job on her. Now you get to hopefully share some pics of your other builds.

Well that looks like a very good first armor for a non-armor guy. Glad to have you on the darkside.

Thanks for all the advice and welcomesSmile [:)] , didnt think about the rust thing on the tracks, that was the base color, then i drybrushed black and silver and tan on em, but you cant see that in the pics. think ill try another combo on the the next one. The color is MM Euro Grey I , it was the only dark grey I had at the time, and as I found out later, Its pretty close to Panzer Grey Big Smile [:D].

Now about the mud thing...any advice on how to acomplish that???? I havnt come up with any ideas that sounded good..
thanks all
