Panther Late G update ( crew is finally in !)
Posted by spector822002 on Saturday, December 11, 2004 6:20 AM
After almost 30 hours + work, of reworking figures, painting them, adding the comminucations equipt. to the driver and radioman , I have finally been able to put them in thier appropriate places . The radio/ and turret areas were the worst to fit them in as those areas are very very tight quarters . Figures are not premade for a project such as this , so I had to custom make or find poses that would work in each particular situation . Legs on the radio operator has to be scratched out of milliput epoxy putty . I am pretty happy with the way they came out , Finally getting close to closing her up . The jackets on the various figs are supposed to be Uboat leathers , which I can only assume would have a bit of gloss to them , I may dull them down a bit with some flat , if this is not correct . I am adding "grain of wheat" lightbulbs in a few locations in this tank as I want the inside lit just a bit like the real one was , also to allow the insides of the tight areas to be viewable .

Looking good Shawn. It's a bit cramped in that turret isn't it?

No wonder they lost the war, if it took them 30 hours to get in their tanks Smile [:)]

Very nice work, although I'm not an armour-guy myself, I still know a good job when I see it.
