Very nice. I built a 1/72 Crusader about a year ago. My first (and only) armour kit and I had alot of fun building it. You did a great job on the painting in that scale. I really like the metal weathering that you can see in the last picture (barrel and turret). There's a fella in our club that paints all of his 1/35 scale stuff with brush. Uses Humbrol paints exclusively and does an AWESOME job.

How about trying to brush paint some carbon fibre panels for the next project!! (ha ha...)

I had one of the worst days at work ever. Total lack of appreciation and not being taken serious at all. Example: We work with robotics. I, being an aircraft engineer in training, propose using composite materials to use on the robot handling tools. Nope, not a good idea, too complicated yadda yadda yadda.. Today I hear: Hey Mike, our manufacturor has come up with the idea to use carbon fibre! Isn't that a great idea! You should talk to them etc. etc..

The Tiger looks great!! Nice job on the dirty lower half - very realistic. Shame about those bloody tracks.

i would add a wash to the engine grills, but it is a great 1/72 tank! one more suggestion: it would look great with a base!

Very nice. I could never hope to paint that nicely by hand. I rather like the overexposed pics a little better they show off more of the detail. Definatley put a little wash in the grills though, it will help them stand out a lot better. Excellent work.

It looks very nice, Michael. I've built that kit a few times and you've done a great job out of it. Could I suggest one thing, though? See those engine grilles on the engine deck? Place a bit of a wash in each opening to give them a bit more depth. Use a fairly dark wash, and the tip of a fine brush to apply it in the holes without marring your nice base colour and drybrushing.

That looks awesome. What Tiger kit is it (It looks like the hasegawa (sp) that I'm working on right now)? I can definately see the rubber band effect (I hate that) but it's hard to notice unless you look directly at the front or back. Again, good job.

Completed Tiger (pics!)

Remember my 72nd scale Tiger 1? Well, I've come to a satisfactory end of my little technology tester and am very happy with the results. The model is completely fictional and is a mish-mash of early and late tigers, but it has been great as a step back into modelling.

Some details:
- Entirely brush painted
- Base is Revell enamel no. 77, wash is diluted 78, drybrushed heavily with first a mix of 77 and 76, then just 76.
- Mud is drybrushed 87, then 86. (Also Revell enamels)
- After the tracks were done, I went over them with a soft artists pencil. I used the same for the chipped paint on the hull.

This must be my absolute favorite picture.. Its also my desktop background. the only let down is the way the tracks rubber-banded on me. Ah well.. So they rode over a treestump or something..
