applying dry transfers

Archer Dry Transfers and Verlinden Dry Transfers are great, and very easy to apply. You do not need to worry about glossing the surfaces like you do with water decals. First cut the Dry Transfer from the sheet , leaving some of the sheet on the sides, place it where you want it to go on your model, and tape it on the edges with a low tack tape (tamiya is always my preference). Then you need to burnish the dry transfer to the surface of the model (rub it). I use a Burnisher that I picked up at a local Pearl Paint, but you can use a dull pencil or a toothpick with multiple coats of dryed superglue on the end. You must make sure that the Dry Transfer is completely rubbed off the sheet or it will lift. After apllication I apply some solveset to it, to ensure it doesn't come off over time.
