help about Pz IV/70 (A) colours
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 18, 2003 3:59 PM
Blush [:I]Blush [:I]
I like to complete my Pz IV/70 (A), modified from a Revell's 1/72 Jgf Pz IV.

I need some suggestions about colours/photos/units...

My references are poor:
the Encyclopedia of GT of WWII shows two photos that seem look a green mottled finish; but I am in troubles...

Thanks!Blush [:I]

Thanks, Mario

but achtungpanzer.com reports the same well known only model: a IV/70 (A) captured by frenchs and now at Saumur. This wrecked Jagd photographed in 44745 is the only specimen I know of the model. I'm searching for others documented examples.

There aren't too many examples out there, most got made into Buicks and Zils. Try the Patton and Aberdean museum sites. Ambush three-tone is what most where painted, no real diffinitive pattern, since all painting was applied in the field. What you end up with is a varried schemes and leave the patten to your wishes. Dark yellow, red-brown and a forest green would be my choices.
