Crossgen...

Hello all! Just became a member and thought I'd start off running...
Recently, I've takin my love for armor modeling and my love for wargamming (Warhammer 40,00) and combined the two. I noticed how some of the tanks I was building for my Warhammer armies seemed to be drawn directly from German tank designs of WWII among others. So, I took a couple of my unopened models and instead of painting the up as they should be, I'm going to model and paint them as if they were in my Imperial Guard army..not to use them, just to see how interseting it will look. I've also done the same with a few of my warhammer figs and vehicles..painting them to look like a German WWII unit.
Was just wondering if anyone else has done anything similar, or as strange to any of thier armor? :P

Haven't done this myself but my buddy kit bashed a Abrams tank and a King Tiger turret with some other kit parts and made quite the monstrosity.

Steve, this post is 12 years old and the members account has been deleted. But if you have any pics of that build, it would defiantly be something to see if you could post them.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Many years ago, probably around the time this post began, I mated the Sgt York turret to the Abrams hull and called it the Sgt Major York. It made the assumption that the anti-aircraft turret system worked and that it was mated to a more modern hull to keep pace with the regular Abrams tanks.
