Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, January 19, 2003 12:21 PM
Okay, I'll admit it - I had no clue to exactly what Zimmerit was so I had to look it up. Blush [:I] For the rest of you who didn't know what it was, but were afraid to ask - here's some links for more information. Wink [;)]

Historical Information

Zimmerit @ www.panzerdiesel.com
This page includes links to documents and photos. There are 23 pages of photos that range from Tigers, Panthers, Sturmtiger, Stug and others - showing different patterns.

Zimmerit @ www.panzerworld.net
A very good article about what Zimmerit was and the various patterns. Also includes a link to a very nice photo gallery.

Zimmerit - Production and Application Methods

Modelling Techniques

Zimmerit Techniques
A collection of techniques on how to apply zimmerit to small scale tanks.

Zimmerit - The Modelling Clay/Terracotta Technique

Applying Zimmerit

Waffle Pattern Zimmerit

Duplicating Zimmerit on German Tanks

Hope this information is useful to someone. Smile [:)]

There is alot of great information there. Thanks Recon. Although I do mine with a soldering iron, I've just recently started experimenting with putty. Working good so far. Thanks again, I'm going to check all of those sites out. Chris.
