Tamiya, testors and Dragon make some good sets of modern weapons. Ebay or store.

I saw a set in my local model shop in New Zealand a couple of years ago, they were made by an Aussie company, but I can't remember the name of it. The set had quite a selection of both carbines and 508s (rifles). I think it might have had the medium length barrell version too. I wish I had purchased it at the time, would be great to add some kiwi soldiers to a Panda Iroquois and made a Timor diorama. So try and search some Aussie model sites, try using www.google.com.au, I've found that pretty good for finding websites in Australia.
