                        Can anyone tell me what color the cardboard shipping tubes for the 76 mm tank rounds were? I think they're black but I also read somewhere that they were OD. Any help would be great.

                        It's hard to tell from a black and white photo, but they appear to be very similar to the shipping tubes our 105 tank ammo came in back in the dark ages (70s-early 80s). Those tubes were a very dark brown, almost black, but brown.
