Question on Tamiya's 2.5 ton 6X6 truck....
Posted by Jeeves on Saturday, June 28, 2003 10:37 PM
I am talking the 1:35 scale version here....

I have 2 questions....

1. The kit doesn't have the option for the blackout lights used in the Red Ball Express for WWII....does anyone have any ideas on how they could be scratchbuilt?? Or are there conversion kits available?? I don't even have a pic to see what they look like....

2. I see on the first page of the instruction sheet that there are different versions listed-- like the DUKW amphibious version, the mobile workshop, a gasoline tanker....etc-- on the back of the first page is one that shows a full load of jerry cans in the back. This is what the guy I am building this for hauled when he was in WWII-- is this an alternate kit that is available?? Or are they just giving history as to the types of uses?? I want to recreate this one somehow....

Thanks!

the one with the full load of jerry cans in the back is the kit itself but minus the jerry cans, Tamiya do a jerry can set and another set for the 6x6, adding a 50 cal and doors.
im building one now its a great kit
any idea what the light looks like?
