VEry nice work! I'm glad to see that I am not the only one that likes to have multiable "projects" going at once. Again very nice work on all counts.

A question about your jeep.

I notice you don't have ANYTHIN painted.

If that was my jeep I would have all detail parts off. Shovel, .30cal. tires... waiting for base coat, wash, dry brush, bla bla bla of the vehicle itself.

After the vehicle was detailed out and complete as fare as painting would be concerned, I would apply all the detail parts. However, I see that's not your technique.

You must not find it overly cumbersome to paint the shovel and tires and main gun once they have been applied to the model. How does that work for you? I've never been able to try that way do to it appearing to be overly painstaking. I have always felt and practiced, detail such parts on the spruce then, apply them to the model.

The reason I ask is because I'm new at more advanced techniques. My M1 floating around this forum being my first model in about 14 years. My first ever to use techniques other then simple dry brushing.

I'm getting ready to start a HMMWV and was wondering how to approach painting it. See here:

the jeeps wheels and gun come off there not glued on the bonnets (hood) is glued shut and there isnt any clear parts in yet
i normaly spray it the base coat then detail the parts already on the main assembley and the other parts then put it all together an dry brush it
with the 2 1/2 ton truck i built it in parts the cab the flatbed and the chassis, sprayed them all and detailed them while they were in there sub parts then put them together
then decided to add the hood doors and the jerry cans on the front so im going to have to mask and spray the unpainted parts
