Me give up building a/c models[:0]. Face it where can ya go Mach 1 w/ your hair on fire???Tongue [:P]
Dont worry my friend, there will always be a spot in my heart for armour.

Hey erush,
Thank you Eric, can someone pass me a klenexTongue [:P]Tongue [:P]. I agree I like the base as well.
Creating the base was one of the things that I enjoyed the most about this piece.
One thing that catches the peoples eye is the bat and glove(ball inside da glove to boot). They are both next to the drivers seat.
You can just see the bats handle in this shot..!! I may have another shot from the other side. I would have to lookBig Smile [:D]

wibhi2,
Never under estimate yourself my friend. It took me a long time to get where I'm at today belive me. And still I believe I have things to learn and I mean that too.
You will never know until you try.
Remember its mind over matter. If you dont mind it, it does not matter.
The most important thing is PATIENCE. If you get to a point where you feel your about to make your model into a lawn dart, walk away because it will always be there when you return(thanx dad)
If ya have any questions you can e-mail me at Falcon42177@yahoo.com. I'll be more than glad to help out a fellow modelling pal. Thats what we are here forBlush [:I]

Hey colin, Capt Cave,
Thanks for the kind words fella's and as to your second question Capt, who knows but the Shadow do..!!!

allan my friend,
How did ya knw that I was eating cookies at the time[:0]. The fence is how it looked in the pic that I have.
Its interesting to how a mind works once your set on something.
Glad you liked the lil fella.

Whaz up tigerman,
I seem to know what I am doing?? If I know what I was doing I would be deadlyTongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P][:0]Black Eye [B)].
Turn me into a treadhead?? Thats what the amour boys in my club are trying to do.
Unless your a fine lookin cheese cake, I aint gonna convertTongue [:P]Tongue [:P][:0]
Dont worry my friend, I am still gonna be w/ you guys in spirit. ..LOL Like I have said before, there will always be a part of me that will always build armour.
Hey where else can ya get down and dirty. I have few projects that I have bouncing around in my head.
Flaps up, Mike

G'day Butz,
I came into static modelling because I broke my back and could nolonger put my 1/48 scale boats inTo the H2O. I usually build aircraft but when I say a Mk IV Hemofradite, pls frgiv spelling, I just had to convert an Emhar Male. I also built a Female and a Cargo versiion. But now I'm building a Helicopter and a Dolls House!!! I think I'd best take my medication a bit more regularly.

Hey Butz nice job, really like the fence. For a guy out of his medium you sure seem to know what your doing. Perhaps we can turn you into a true treadhead one day.

HEy Butz,
your pict finally showed for me. Wow,that is really awesome. I am almost ashamed of my efforts by comparrison. Funny how those lil' guys go together so quickly. M18 took me about 40 hrs (over 3 months) all said and done.

methinks my next break project will be a M3 75mm

What can be more fun than building something nice and clean and then try wrecking it and rolling it in the mud.

Great job Butz! I love the base and the camo job you did. The pic wasn't too blurry to hide the excellent work. And hey, this Armor guy just crossed over too. I just put the final clearcoat on Hobbycraft's Canadian CF 105 Arrow a few hours ago. Now I'm packing it up to take to my model meeting tomorrow night. :-)

Hey renarts,
Long time no hearBig Smile [:D]. So how are your modelling projects coming along??
Na I think for my next armor piece, it will be either the new Tamiya M1025 HUMVEE or AFVs Stuart(I think its a Stuart, haven't looked at it in awhileSad [:(]).
I am going towards the HUMVEE cause I want to put it in the markings of the 101st AB which one of my friends is asigned to.
You know Mike sometimes I surprise myself in the things that I buildBlush [:I]Tongue [:P][:0]

Hey Erock,
Tank you too kindly my friend. I as well like the base.
I actually based it after a pic I have which was taken in Russia a few years ago. It was a friend of the family that had gone there to visited some of his family on there farm.
When I saw that paricular shot, I know that this would be an ideal WWII scene.Yes I actually built the base first than the Jeep!! Go figure?? Usually I do the oppositeTongue [:P]
Overall I like the way everything came togehter to represent a nice show piece.

Hey Sherman,
Bite your tongueDead [xx(]Tongue [:P]. My heart will always be w/ a/c and a/c building but there is a dark side of me that will do targets I mean armor once in awhileTongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]
I have a few ideas on the back burner that I look forward to doing.

Nice job Mike. The weathering is very good and it is displayed very nicely.
That Tamiya Jeep is a sweet little kit.
You may have missed your calling and should have stayed with Armour.

Who would have thought??
I built this about two years ago. Its Tamiya "new" Jeep w/ the old kits trailer.
I used aftermarket parts from Verlinden and Evergreen plastic sheet and rod to make the wire cutter.
For the chain hook up from the trailer to the jeep, you guessed it I used actual chains(what scale I am not sure) I picked what best matched the ref pics.
The sheets that you see hanging over the sides are either made w/ tissue paper or tin foil. There is more that I did but at this moment I am drawing a blank............
I put this lil guy in the markings of the 87th Chemical Mortar Batl. I meet a few guys who were from that unit and actually made this jeep that a Sgt Peter Unsler used. How cool is that.
For some reason the pic seems to be a lil blury sorry bout thatSad [:(]
With out further due her she is.....
