Challenger info
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, July 24, 2003 11:40 AM
I'm looking for info on Challenger tanks. I have the Revell 1/72 kit and I'd like to try a Mk3 conversion, and paint it in winter camo. Any info would be helpful...
Thx,
frosty

i saw a very good reference book on the challenger in a local hobby shop recently, its paperback, about 80 to 100 pages long and is published by Osprey Books if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure I saw some winter camoflage pictures in it when I took a glance at it.

The book I saw was completely on the Challenger, there were seperate books in the same series as that on the Abrams, T-80 and other modern armour vehicles.

A couple of years ago, I finished the Revell Germany 1/72 Challenger 1 straight from the box. It was my first armour kit ever, I've been building aircraft for over 20 years, if you're interested in seeing pictures of it use the links below:

I hope you'll post a few pictures of your finished Challenger here, I'd love to see it when its done.

Good luck finding the book I mentioned.

Frosty,
Check the army technologies website. They have some interesting photos in a couple of different schemes of Challenger Tanks
