Blue camo not really auth...lol The tow cable is a single piec of 22 guage wire(kind you get at Rad Shack) twisted really tight.
The blue camo(which is actually Shadow Grey) is due to the fact that this tank is going to be put in a urban Dio so i thought what the hey!

Thanks all for your kind words...there is still more to come with this tank as shermanfreak gave me some good tips and pointed out some flaws that i eeded to address:)

Keep a eye out!

Horus:
it's looking good....i was wondering, did you hand paint it ? i've been working up the courage to try a multicolor scheme, but i don't have an airbrush. so, i'm kinda scared to mess it up.

for tow ropes I use bike gear cable.
It is the right size and if you leave it in water for a while , you get real rust!

Is your kit an Italeri L1A4?

Horus, the parts you mentioned came with the kit. If you've only got the grid it's not that complicated to scratchbuild the underneath engine cooling fan. If you're interested in I can make some drawings for you...

Also this model came with a Conning tower, much like the one used on the Austrailian AS1 Leopard Here:

Sherman,
Thank you for the compliment! No track sag here tho the tracks fit nicely! :)
M1,
Yes side skirts do rock!!

Scoccia,
That is a nice L1A2!! Where did you find the rear engine grill and motor or did your model come with that as mine is just a plastic grill thats blocked up so theres nothing undernethe it.

Horus,
in my view that kit it's quite good on it own and seen the simplicity of the parts that can be enhanced you can easily do it by yourself saving money and having extra fun. I've just finished a L1A2 (Italian production) of which I'm posting a couple of pics in progress and a couple finished. Full sets are here if you're interested in: http://pnavy.com/mbie/albun72

In progress

and finished
