Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 2, 2003 11:21 AM
Hi there

Out of interest; what damage would bazooka rounds do 2 a King Tiger if hit where it has most armour? Would they leave little damage? or what? I would really like to know.
Thanx a lot. I really appreciate it.

Keep wellBig Smile [:D]

well I know that the shermans gun (not sure which one 75/76) just basically scuffed it it and left a shallow dent. I don't think a bazooka would do even that. I'll see if I can find the picture for that

If you've zimmerted the front slope, I would just scape a bit away to show a hit. On a non-zimmerit only take the point of a hobby knife and lightly put a small "dent" where the round would have hit. Put some metallic paint to make the dent stand out a bit

bazooka rounds are shaped charges, as long as they detonate they don't bounce off. having said that, a bazooka rocket would only leave a gouge, it wouldn't penetrate a tiger's frontal arnor.

Spa,icus is right, they would leave more of a "scorch" mark with a very minor dent at best. The scorch mark would by smaller at the bottom and gradually widen as it travels up the front of the tank, like an ice cream cone. Hope this helps!
