I agree with all of you !
Until I recently had my own computer, I did not have a lot of contact with other modelers. It really is a pleasure to share and exchange ideas with people who love our hobby.

Everyone that I've met online has been warm, friendly and only too happy to help, even when some of my questions seem a bit simple. But I have to agree with the comment mkish made. I have 2 good buddies who enjoy the hobby as much as I do and when we can get togeter we attend modeling shows in the UK. However I am sorry to say that not everybody is as friendly as I am in person.
I go to shows to meet other modelers and admire their good work
!
But the last few shows I've visited people just don't want to talk to visitors to their displays. It's a real shame because chances are there're real good people who have intresting things to talk about.
Unfortunately, my job makes it impossible for me to join a club or go to regular meetings so internet and model shows are my only points of contact when my friends are'nt around. So If you're at a model show and a big hairy thing that looks like me says "Hey -that's good!" Don't be afraid I won't bite!
Sorry to go on-I'll shut up now.
Happy modeling everyone.
