Tamiyas M60A2
Posted by CTrill09 on Sunday, August 10, 2003 2:23 PM
i recently looked at some of my unbuilt kits and i found the motivation to build Tamiyas M60A2 as my net kit, as soon as i finish the M1A1 Abrams which is nearing completion. I will post pics of that as soon as possilbe for all you guys to evaluate and share. I opened the box and i think i want to do this one out of the box cause i dont feel like spending any addiional money on it. I looked at the spotlight and realized its open, and i was wonderin if any you guys new of anywhere i can go to look or possibly build to produce a clear parts cover to fit in the spotlight?? Anything else about the kit would be real appreciative if you guys know of anything else.

Try using a clear acetate document proctector. It's clear and easy to trim to fit. One of them will last you forever.

Doesn't that kit come with that clear part? I think it does. Make sure it's not stuck under a flap in the box somewhere or sandwiched between the instruction sheets. It's small and flat, and loves to hide!

MM makes a clear part maker , a glue made for attaching windows that dries completely clear. It's called window cement and it can also make small clear parts...check it out:)

I've built a couple of the Tamiya M60s, and they're old kits. I don't ever remember seeing a clear part for the spotlight. The idea of clear acetate from a document protector is excellent. That is exactly what I used, and the results are pretty good.

I used a clear piece of cellophane tape on mine many years ago. Still shines through.
