I finally got my Pz II in and started to work on it. I have a questions on the pastels for weathering. What main colors to ya'll use? The Pz II is going to have a german gray main over coat on it. And what other colors to I need to keep on hand for my camo colors. Since most of my work is going to be german amor.

If you check an Arts & Crafts Store like Michaels, they sometimes have small boxes of pastels that are called Earth Tones. They will contain black, grays, browns and sometimes greens. These are the best to get for armour modelling IMO. Be sure that you pick up pastel chalks though and not oil based pastels (they're just glorified crayons).

For your particular model, I'd probably go with some browns worked into the nooks and crannies with an overall dusting of gray.

I just touched up my jagdpanzer so if you want to check it out, it's got a mid italian
pastel wash plus some real dirt and sand from the brenner pass area and what I picked up when I was in rome.

it's on ronUSMC's web site.
