My sources state that The type V300S was made to an American pattern but with undivided windshield. The Ford Germany nomenclature was Type G 198 TS.
The Ford Motor Company AG was founded in Berlin in 1926, purely as an assembly plant. The factory moved to Koln in 1931 and by 1935 it had become an independant German auto manufacturer; The name changed to: Ford-Werke AG in '39.
The same source: Trucks of the Wehrmacht by Reinhald Frank, published by Schiffer, also has a pic of a captured V300S used by the Americans. The picture was taken in Reims, France in '44. It wears 5-pointed stars in at least 6 positions and 'USA' in little, on two locations, on top of the grille. It still has its Notek light.
