WTB: Verlinden Calliope conversion kit
Posted by mark956 on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 6:01 PM
Hello, I just won a 1/35th Sherman Calliope model on E-bay. I want to super detail it. I am looking for a Verlinden calliope conversion kit to buy. Can anyone help me? You can e-mail me at mark56716@yahoo.com.

Thanks Mark

Having had both the Italeri Calliope and the VLS conversion, I can definitely see why you want the VLS offering. Haven't seen one in a couple of years though Mark, but if you find two ... let me know. Wink [;)]

Hello again,
I wanted to let everyone know that as of 9-14-03 I found and won a verlinden calliope conversion kit on e-bay. I can't wait to start building Sherman. This will be my first attempt in super detailing. I will be using a Aber Sherman detail set, Jordi Rubio aluminum barrel, and Modlekasten tracks. I will post pictures of the Sherman once I finish it.

Mark ... congrats on your find .... but posting pics when you're done will just never do .... no, no, no. This kind of conversion deserves progress pics I think.

I and the rest of the silent Sherman minority look forward to them.

Thanks

I may not be in the Sherman minority (all my WWII tanks are German or Russian. Blasphemer!) but I would also like to see the build, or at least the finished product.
I'll go get the penance rope now, Robert.
