Robert, does this mean that your "toasted Sherman" can be far behine?

Seems like a good choice to me Robert. Everything I've seen tends to show the average Sherman spent a lot of time on these baby's - going off to be repaired. Just kidding.

We're going to have to ask David if he can put a "Zinger's Forum" on-line here for all of the unemployed comedians who are present here building models and need a place to try out their new routines.

I really do like the one about the gurney though, that is great Eric followed closely by Peter's reference to how much time a Sherman spent on one of these. I think I read somewhere that they were employed more in bringing home German war prizes like the Panther though [:0][:0][:0]

Ed - the next DW gets the K.F.S. (Kentucky Fried Shermie), this one gets an M36 B1 that I started eons ago and needed a reason to finish.

Rob - that one is still in the wrapper on the shelf, it'll get the hi-tech treatment in the near future

Dwight - haven't done a thing to the tires yet, they're vinyl and that's the way they came in the box. Still need to get rid of that center line and rough them up a bit.

Where's the tracks and the 105mm ?

As we have come to expect from you Sherm, you have a very nice looking build going so far. This kit has interested me for some time, but I have to admit that the shear size, and number of parts has intimidated me. How is the build?? Is it overwhelming at all? Would you suggest it for a beginner/intermediate modeler like myself? That winch alone looks like it would easily put me in the mad house.

Edog ... this kit goes together like a dream.

Yes there are an enormous amount of parts and it will keep a person building for quite some time, but it is so well engineered that there are no real problems in the build.

The winches are incredible in their design. They are like building a small kit in themselves but once again everything just flows together including the PE that is on them.

I really can't say enough good things about this kit.

Not one to be afraid of at all. I would say that any intermediate modeller could do this build, but you must stage build it to paint it.

Build 22 - How about some tracks and a 90mm for the load ?

Looks great so far shermanfreak. I am still trying to hone my skills with armor so I can get to the point where I could build the wagon and do it justice. At least you settled my questioning of spending that much and the kit not be worth it.

Coming along quite nicely, Robert. That wagon kit looks like its one complex build. Great work! I think I saw an air leak in one of your tires...

Thanks for the info on the kit sherm. I may have to get one to display a captured Panther on, or something. Keep us updated often, I know most of us will be eager to see how the build is going.

Chris - well worth the money but also in agreement with you about having a little experience before tackling it. This is one that when you get done to the final stages you will definitely what to do justice on.

Edog & Muzzleflash - I can't think of a better place for a Panther myself. At least they're not taking pot shots at Shermies when they're on the back of this beast.
