M1A2 SEP plow hookup
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 10:10 PM
I am converting a Tamiya M1A2 to an M1A2 SEP and have most of the scratch building done. I am trying to find the plow hookup (forgive me if the picture at the bottom doesn't turn out right since I am trying this for the first time but that is the part I am looking for) in another M1A2 kit or a detailing kit. Any ideas?

I don't know really what you want but the things in your picture are the drivers hatch fuel cap a grab handle and the the top latch for the #1 skirt. The mine plow mounted to the bottom and top towhook points and you pulled a vision block out of the drivers hatch for the power to the plow. but i was only on the M1 thru M1A1HA but then it should be the same cause the only real difference is in the turret. M1A2SEP has an electrical port to connect the plow's power cable to it. This way you don't have to drop the right vision block. It is located on the front slope, forward and to the side of the driver's hatch.

Yes, sir, you 've hit it on the head. I've tried everything including layering plasticard and filing, but even that came up sub par. Anyone know of an A2 kit with it or a conversion. Here's a better picture:

Thanks in advance.
