Hi lizardqing2,

Don't worry about the mud. Jeeps tend to have them a lot in field. My uncle have this willy's jeep from WWII (it is still in good running condition) and it usually get so "mudded up" after he uses it in one of his trips to the countryside. And I think it looks cool.

You did a good job there. I will wait for your dio.

Shermanfreak- I actually picked up some pastels the other day and figured I would give them a try on the Sherman I am now starting on.Thanks for the tip about the seams I will definately try it out, probally soon.
Appreciate all the compliments also.

Making them muddy and dirty can be such fun.

Nice looking work on the Mutt Chris. For the most part a very clean build.

One little thing that caught my eye. On the tow launcher where the 2 halfs meet, the seam is still visible. This is a fairly common problem when two parts are used to form a cylinder (such as 2-part gun barrels). What I usually do is run a bead of CA glue right along the seam and then shortly after it has dried, sand the seam until the line is completely gone. Don't oversand it though becasue it will make flat spots on it.

You had so much fun with the mud ... when are you going to give pastel chalks a try. They are great for blending in the mud with a dirty vehicle and are very easy to use.

All in all a nice build ... thanks for sharing and keep up the great work Chris.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Arkansas has dirt that looked about the same color as that on the vehicle, and GP is the old term for Jeep (General Purpose.) I didn't mean anything bad by it.

It really does look quite good.

I was thinking about doing up something to do with 'Nam with it. I have a base but so far that is all I have gottn done. I did the mud by mixing Testors putty and flat brown paint and splotching it on with an old stiff brush. Some of the bristles came off while doing and look like grass hangin off here and there, It worked alot better than I had thought it would turn out.
Demon 69- What do you mean by GP from Arkansas?

Great detail. From the looks of the dirt, is this GP from Arkansas?

Here is Tamiya's M151A2 with TOW launcher. It is out of the box. The only thing I changed was I bent up the front bumper. I have a small diorama that I have planned for this little guy. Think I may have gone a little overboard with the mud but gotta admit it was enjoyable getting it dirty. Any suggestions are welcome. Do appreciate the tips I got while building this, now I am on to bigger things , a Sherman as my first WW2 armor.
