ww2 usmc sherman color scheme
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 3:55 PM
I have just purchased a 1/35 sherman tank (can't wait for it to come in!) that was used by the usmc in the later part of the war against japan. I am wondering if the color scheme would be that of european theater shermans....so should i use medium green or another color? any info or tips is needed thanks!!!!!Big Smile [:D]

ETO Shermans in US markings tended to be OD green overall. That kit minus the USMC parts and optional M4A2 engine deck builds into a pretty good standard M4A3. A Marine Corps Sherman would not have been used outside of the Pacific Theater, so if you decide to build a USMC variant, keep it in Pacific markings. Their Shermans were more colorful than Army Shermans.
