Its fine on future Bill as long as it has had a day or so to cure its about the only time i use future is when i use enamels for the base coat which is only when i dont have the right colour in acrylics but definatly test it first that goes without saying also i have used it on cured enamels without future and as long as i dont work it and just let it lay it as never gave me any problems such as peeling or wrinkling.
Tread thank you for the kind words, personally i think the paint and filter method would work fine i would definatly build a few test beds to get some practice on and find out for sure if you like it before painting yours, it is too much of a work of art to practice on, it would scare me to death to have to paint that.
prometheum, only advice i can give is practice on something first find out what look you want, i basically concider every build i do practice for the next one, sometimes things go great other times i have to regroup and try a new approach because they dont work too well but for me that is a lot of the fun. also i dont use the spot technique on every build its just russian green really works well also US olive drab works well, when it comes to camo schemes i tend to go more for fading.
Ian i used to apply chips with a toothpick i think it was paul (fingerseddie) that gave me the idea of the scouring pad and ive used it since trick for me is go slowly and lightly leave it for a while then see if it needs more or not, its real easy to get carried away heh.
long post but i got nothing to do heh no builds on the bench and waiting for the tracks and last washes to dry good then a final mulling over and its done, sitting here trying to decide what to build next.
