I've got the aber PE set for mine...or will, its in the mail.  I have seen pics of both kinds-with PE and w/o...so I should be good.  I only forgot to get the indie tracks...but we'll see if I need to get anything else.  I think I might go on a polish armor binge here, and I found a great source for polish kits and AM stuff.

Many thanks guys,

Beav these kits are a bit basic and the wheels and smaller parts had lots of flash and were very brittle and many pieces were already broken on the sprues which is why i used 3 kits to get the best parts off, forget about the tracks they are awful i got these indi links and other bits from the t26a kit from scala and the third kit i used was the twin turret vickers i beleive, the body goes together well its just everything else that is bad.

Besides all that the tank itself was pretty bland so i tried to scratch a few bits and bobs to just add something to it, it was a fun quicky to get me back into the swing of things and fills a spot on the shelf i have the 7TP on the shelf from a while back in my early days of modeling and while i like it it could surely use updating Smile [:)].

this was one of the few ref pics i found for the vickers E.

and this is my 7TP from my early days of modeling Blush [:I] i think i have improved a little.

Thumbs Up [tup] As always (and expected), a beautiful build. I was gettin' ready to put out a "biffa alert" to see where you went (thought maybe a tank had fell on ya Dead [xx(] in the factory..... what with all those women workin' there now).

You should dump that (I assume)Yuck [yuck] PC and get a MAC. Cool [8D] It's been 15 years here and no virus or problems yet. What a shame Boohoo [BH] to lose al your info. The bigger shame is all that lost tank-building time. Shock [:O] You coulda had 10 or twelve built by now.

Looking forward already to the next one.

Another solid buildup Ron. Don't see anything like this here.

Hmmm  I just grabbed the Mirage 7TP with an Aber PE set for it online...They should turn out good, but I just remembered that I was gonna order some indie tracks for it too-I heard the kit things were terrible.  So...the build was pretty bad eh?

Looks like you're multi-kit adventure along with the scratchbuilding worked out well Ron, glad to see you're not "lost in cyberspace" any longer. Thumbs Up [tup]

Mirage Vickers E finished pics
Posted by biffa on Friday, March 2, 2007 1:56 PM

Hi guys, i havent been very active of late due to computer problems, it crashed and wiped my harddrive and last few weeks have been spent trying to recover all my lost programs and data but somethings like build pics and such what i could'nt retrieve from photobucket were lost forever thats what i get for being lazy and not backing up files.

Anyway while doing this i did manage a little build time and i've got to tell you its not real pretty but it did get me back at the bench.

This is the Mirage vickers E with a little bit of the scala T26 and another mirage kit i scavenged bits from simply because the kit is a bit rough and it took Three kits and some scratch bits to get it this far, the scrached parts were the lights, the intake grills and the straps and brackets for the fenders also a piece of pe grill for the rear intake, anyway as said its not much but it got me over my pc blues and gave me something to post.

Thanks for looking and as always feel free to comment.
