Hi duke,

Before you decide to throw in your picture, please read "Shermanfreaks Revenge" thread first.

Don't say I didn't warn you. LOL.

Tigerman: I am already laughing in anticipation.

erush: No, it's really me. Got my friend took a shot at me this morning at the office. I thought it would be fun to have my online buddies take potshots at me. I am actually looking for a picture of me at the construction site. You know we have this site uniform (overalls) with orange-brownish color (almost same as the color of my jacket in the pic but lighter) and a WWII G.I. type orange helmet. I can just imagine how much fun you guys will have manipulating it.

Anyway, fire away.

Hey!

It looks like it worked! Well, I'm surprised. By the way, that's my wife Sue. At this time, she was licensed with the Museum on M60 series, WWII half tracks and wheeled vehicles. Cool woman, for a PFC in a white T-shirtWink [;)]

Hi,

I'm going to try this for the first time and will most likely get an 'X Box' Icon telling me I screwed up... So, if that happens, be assured I'll try again when somebody with brains shows up at work and tells me how all this works...

An attempt to load the photo of my wife and me with 'our' M3 Stuart at Fort Knox a few years back (when I was still an E-5!)Big Smile [:D]

It's great to see so many people, of all ages, having a bit of fun here, and it's good to see a few more faces guys.

Gotta get my ugly mug up here soon, or I might be too late (at least all the chubby jokes might be used up by thenBig Smile [:D]

For you 'youngens', I remember when I was younger and thought 40 was old, but once you get there it ain't so bad. I still got a full head of hair at 42, it just ain't the colour it used to be; Anybody ever tried painting a figure with grey hairTongue [:P]

Keep up the good atmosphere in the forums.

Happy modelling

Rob good to see you my friend, you've been the source for any Abrams information. You, J-Hulk, myself are all in the 4-0 to be club. Tongue [:P]

Build22 you have me ROTFLMAO. That pic along with your other post with the pics of Shermie and Bill were just what the doctor ordered for me this week; I needed that! I like your Sturmpanzer also.

Major,

You fit in a T-72? I had to turn down a chance to drive one because they couldn't find a shoe horn big enough to squeeze my fat butt into it! I've driven a T-34/85... my leg still hurts from the clutch (I prefer Stuarts and Shermans, yes, over M1's, M113's and M109's). I'll have to find a photo that's fit to post. It'll scare the heck out of all of you!

Just looked around my office. I found one of my wife and me with an M3 Light I was driving for the Patton Museum. I'll have to scan it, then figure out how th' heck to get it onto this page!

Have a great weekend all!

Ron.

Okay, Okay,

I give in. This is a picture of me a few years earlier. You can definetly see I had an interest in German Armor

I took an extended trip to Argentena, but I'm back in the states now. Just don't tell anyone you saw this picture.

Hey SF,
Shhhhh, I was thinking more of one of those little french tankettes. Congrats on number 1800 - closing in on 2,000!

Major Rob - glad to see you. Redleg and Erock as well.

But of course you now know you may be fair game for the photo manipulators around here.
Soon they'll have you in the commanders hatch of a Russian T-something-or-other.

I've TC'd in the commander's hatch of a Kuwaiti M-84 (Yugoslav made T-72) as well as in a former Iraqi T-59 (Chinese made). I'm not that unfamiliar with Soviet tanks.

Here is a picture of me taken by a friend during a field trip to my motor pool back in July. I was giving rides in an M113A3. I was just under 39½ years old and now I am just over 39½ years old. The big 4-0 is looming ahead, on the plus side, I have less than 4 years to go before I can retire!

Tigerman You figured it correctly. Qatar is a country south of Kuwiat below Saudi. Doha in Kuwait is an old port converted to an Army base. Still neither place is somewhere I'd want to go Tongue [:P]

Sherm you do me wrong brother. I'm facing the camera and that's a female army Lt going through someones pack Wink [;)] Actually that was Lt B's pack and I guess she wasn't done packing Big Smile [:D] I'm talking to PFC (now SPC) Lisa Walters as we prepare to roll out.

Redleg - That's better now .... another youngin' .... but I see that there is more proof in this photo between building armour models and hair (or lack of it).

Eric - Quit trying to steal that poor soldiers rations from their pack !!!!

Great idea Redleg, curiosity kills the cat...

Erush, my brother-in-law got back from Doha Qatar(I assume its the same place as Camp Doha) recently after the major ops ended in Iraq. He hated the place with a passion. He said he had sand in every crack of his body constantly. Oh yeah, it was hot, hotter, and well you've been there....After reading your post again, I think they might be different places. Yes?
