I have a diffrent picture of the "Battle Sled" dated 10 june '44 and and the caption says "One of the more novel concepts attempted in the Anzio break-out" and it also says that it was pioneered by Gen. O'Daniel commander of the 3rd Division.
But it doesn't say if they ever used it or not.
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

It looks to me like one of those "new" guy jokes you play on the new troops. Tell em, Ya jump in and we'll pull you around for a while. LOL I would hate to be the guy with the flame thrower on his back, he must feel safe yah right!

Seems to me that several well placed grenades would spoil this idea very quickly! Or a well aimed MG34 or MG42!
