I've only seen white inside on WWI British tanks.... I think they changed to silver later on (WWII)... since the Patton Museum Centurion, Churchill and Challenger (hmmm. . all 'C' names!) are silver inside. You could try linking to the Bovington Tank Museum site at http://www.tankmuseum.org/ and see what they say.

Regards,

Ron.

Interior color of WW1 mark IV male

I'm doing a 1/35 Emhar mark IV male tank and I've opened one of the sponsons to scratch build the interior (there are some goodies I got from hannant's like ww1 lewis guns in white metal and some sort of PE is coming) and realized I didn't have a clue as to interior color. I would suspect flat white or just bare boiler plate with rust. What's the interior color of royal navy gun turrets of the time? Probaly the same. Any help you guys can give would be invaluable!Cool [8D] thanks G.L.
