Kursk Build Wittman Tiger
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, July 14, 2007 9:24 PM

Hi below are some photos of the Wittman Tiger I am buiding, So far I have mainly been dealing with warped lower hull and have been doing a lot of dryfitting and adjusting, instructioins are typical dml hard to follow. Will be building wheels next to make sure they sit correctly and will have to brace back of hull as well , am still stuck with final drive housing pointing in wrong direction but should'nt notice if i glue sprokets on at correct angle, more photos later on in week hopefully , cheers Bob.

hi guys , yes it is clothes peg, had to push front out due to warping was going to do same at back but it warps hull when i do so i will just have to put up with the inward warp. Have built all wheels yesterday but instructions dont seem to be right the way they tell you to put wheels on? anyone have a good picture of how they go? also have had to do lots of test fitting to make sure everthing fits properly, hope to have more pics up soon and yes it is Mr Mark Softner in the background this is a great product, really settles them decals down, cheers Bob

Very cool.  You should send your photo's to Dragon so they can see your warp fix.  Who know's it might even turn into another kit from them.  Introducing the Dragon Tiger I Enhanced, includes, PE, Alum Barrel and Warp-Correcting Wood Block!

How well does that suspension go together.  I have the CH Panther F with the same type of setup.  Thanks.

Hi guys, just a small update, have completed radiator fan assembly and have attached back plate to model, fan assembly needed a bit of work to make the etch covers fit, i have also finnished work on back plate and attached to model, this was not easy due to shape issues with the hull. The suspension goes together very well and in hindsight i should have made it workable and not static as it might have helped to hide the hull warpage, this is a great kit but requires a lot of test fitting and adjustment, nothing us modellers cant handle. Should have another update next week, cheers Bob.
