Masking with Sily Putty
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, October 3, 2003 7:23 PM
In the July 2003 issue of FineScale Modeler Cookie Sewell has a short article on using Silly Putty to mask armor camouflage schemes.

Has anyone tried it? How did it work? Any reports? I went to my local variety store today and bought some. Thinking of using it to mask off this Panther II I'm currently working on.

If renarts ever sticks his nose in here tonight ... I believe that's the method he used to mask his Type 97.

I've used it to mask a panzer IV. Works well for a hard edge camo design.
