M-18 Hellcat reference books?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, October 6, 2003 8:53 PM
I recently picked up the 1/35 AFV Club kit pretty cheap off eBay. I normally don't build in this scale, and since it has an open fighting compartment, I'd like to do it some justice. Any suggestions for a good photo reference book, especially with interior shots?

Decent one is Squadron Signal's Walk Around US Tank Destroyers, recently released and runs about $15. They also have the US Tank Destroyers in Action for about $8-9. Walkaround is more detailed but photos tend to be of restored vehicles.

There's a good site on the net that has some interior pic on it.

For other references I use "U.S. Tank Destroyers In Combat" by Steven Zaloga
and "U.S. Tank Destroyers in Action" from Squadron signal

Thanks for the help on the books, guys. Forgot all about the AFV interiors website, that info will be very useful.
