Hi Zoran, actually when i built this i had nothing, plenty on just the tractor but not with this mounted so i made up a lot of it then Gun Tech (thanks Jean-Michel) posted this pic on another forum so this is the only pic i have seen of it.

WOW that is ugly piece of armor, can this thing fly when it has got wings around the gun ? :-)

I like how you did this kit, very nice!!!

BTW good painting and weathering skills of modeller can be recognized on the panzergrey colour, becouse it is very dificult to finish nice one tone grey armor. And in this case it was very succesful!

Thanks RandW yes the white parts and metal wire and rivets on the front and headlight and grey part of the barrel were scratched addons the red parts were filler, the few other parts underneath all that mess were the actual kit lol, thanks for commenting.

Wow, Ron! I really like this one, cool subject and beautiful finish/weathering. Seeing this one pre-paint really shows how important the weathering stage is. Are the white colored pieces add-ons from you? Bravo!

Thanks guys im glad this one was of some interest to make it worthwhile completing, Ian the tracks were indi's and are not bad at all really except they dont fit without some bodgering lol hi Ben the only option in the kit is panzer grey with the decals i used, i've said it before and ill say it now again these maquette kits are awful but some of the subjects are very interesting so whenever i get a chance to pick them up cheap i do just for the fun of the challenge and as bad as it may be it does take its place on the shelf

Wow, that thing must be tiny, judging from the shield of the 37mmPAK...you turned a sow's ear into, well, a nicer sow's ear...lol...that must have been a beast to complete...sorta reminds me of an elephant at certain angles...only you could have pulled this one off...you seem to be working w/ smaller models right now...first the tiny French tank and now the Russian tractor hybrid...great job, as usual!

Very cute. And so small. I would have hated to try to operate the thing. Not the biggest of weapons and quite a tall profile. Might as well just painted a huge target on the front of the thing LOL. Awesome work though Ron, really looks filthy and lived in. You work just goes from strngth to strength. Top marx fella

I have the version of this kit with the ZIS-30 on top.A brutally horrible kit.I don't have to imagine the work you put into it to get it to look like that.I KNOW!For anybody who wants a serious challenge,the above mentioned kits are currently available from Squadron unless I am mistaken.

Hey, great little AFV you build there Ron.

Nice touch on the weathering as always.

Does the manual gave you any other selection as far as camo and marking wise ? Or is it just plain German Grey.

Congrats on #27. A very different subject matter for sure. Never seen one before. As usual the weathering puts it over the top. It looks as though you conquered the flaws and I wouldn't have noticed anyways. LOL I like how you take these inferior kits and make them look like winners.

I'd tried, unsucessfully, several times to get hold of one of these kits and finally just gave up...it's a strange one for sure and what you describe sounds about right for Maquette resin parts...they were just as bad on their Flakpanzer I kit too. Looks like you made a good job out of it though Ron and in your usual style. Your "bonus" bench time is paying off. Big Smile [:D]

The subject matter is cool enough on it's own, but the weathering looks grat on this one--really looks like an abused-field-modified machine. Track sag looks great too--are the rubber band, indy link or link 'n length?

Just finished this one its a maquette kit and it is awful lol but i just liked the look of it for some reason, i almost binned it a few times but eventually i did what i could to get it together and painted.

Problems with the kit are=

All angles are wrong and wont fit together

All the wheels are too close to the hull for the track to fit

The resin gun parts were just blobs and needed replacing with plastic parts

had to replace most of the rivets lost in fixing fitting problems

everything needed thinning or replacing and some delails were missing completely.

The model itself depicts a german PAK36 strapped and welded on top of a captured russian artillery tractor, i never could find a single photo of this rig anywhere although there are lots of just the tractor itself but i built it anyway and just made up what i had to to get it together, the extra plates were made to look like they were roughly welded on like a rushed field upgrade.

I make no excuses lol i just wanted to get it together i know its a far shot from perfect but i thought i would share it anyway just for the interest and a warning or how bad this kit is.
