Halftrack Camo
Posted by lizardqing on Saturday, October 18, 2003 7:09 PM
I am going to have my SdKfz 251 soon pretty much assembled and ready for the detailing. I went with the gray base color on it and was wondering what tyoe of camo color schemes could go with that base. Someone mentioned before about a criss crossed mud pattern. I feel like giving some camo a try with my airbrush for the first time and any suggestions would be appreciated. Also would all the things on the dash, water cooler and various interiour items be the same gray as the rest of it or could they be something else so they might could stand out a little more. Thanks.

Hi Chris. You might try a winter white cammo job. I'm afraid going grey limits the cammo jobs you can do. I really haven't seen any grey color combo cammo jobs. Closest I've seen is desert yellow with grey patches coming through it in North Africa. As far as the interior, I believe it would be grey. Good luck.

You'll just have to get Tamiya's 251/D to do that three color camo job. Tongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]

Got to hate it when a reason to get another kit comes up!
