Here's the latest finish from my wife. it's her second build. It's straight OOB. It was one of the kits she snatched that I brought home and would'nt let me do. The halftracks are coming along and should be done sometime soon hopefully. Hope you enjoy this little guy.

OK Chris, I guess the next question is "How long before you're hobby space is HER hobby space?.

She might as well get her own user-name and log on with everyone else.

Well right now both of our hobby space is the kitchen table, when I get my toolshop done that will be a whole new challenge. I told her she needs to get her own user name but she said she would'nt know what to say ,so maybe y'all could talk her into it better than I can.

Dear Mrs. Lizardqing2,

We the humble members of FSM request that you get your own user name here at the forums. After all, you are building models more than Chris is now so it would be only fitting. None of us bite, most are house broken (except for Erush), so you might just as well log in and introduce yourself to us.

Nice work on the little amphib. I just love a dirty vehicle. I do have one small critique, watch the seams on your figs. A little back-blading with the hobby knife will fix them up good.

Keep up the great work Mrs. Lizardqing (have to do something about that name!!!)

Thanks for sharing.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

BEWARE of Merlin Mrs. Lizardqing2. He bites and isn't housebroken at all.

Well Robert looks like you talked her into it. Once she ( and myself ) quit laughing she agreed, so be looking out for her FSM personal debut.

The shame of it all.....poaching your husbands kits.
lizardquing......tsk, tsk, tsk.

Looks great. I'm with Robert, look forward to seeing you (her) post.
Also, I 2nd the flash on the figs. Keep an eye on those. A sharp knife will clean those up in a jiffy. A few seconds spent on clean up before paint will payoff nicely. Nice weatherhing on the vehicle. What's next?

Wow! She's really fast at this stuff... putting us old codgers to shame! Very, very nice job. It's one of those vehicles that collectors of real jeeps drool over!

Sheila,

Just have Eric run out and buy you kits. That way, you save time shopping to do your modeling and you keep him away from YOUR modeling!! LOL
I think it's so great that you two can do this together. I wish I could get anybody in my family fired up about modeling! Do you guys have the same sets of tools, etc. or do you each have your own favorites?

We have the same set of tools, when we do modeling together it's just about the only way we can spend time together, besides his work and running fire calls in the evning.

Yes, Chris, we are all envious of your shared interest! My wife will never model for me... [:0] I er, mean, uh, build a model WITH me. Thank goodness she doesn't mind my building! AND thank goodness even more that she'll come to do volunteer work with me at Knox on old tanksSmile [:)]!

Ron, see there now you've got me envious of you being able to things with the real deal. Knox is probally the closest place for me to go see a decent collection of armor and that's still a pretty decent drive.

My drive to get there is ten hours, which isn't too bad, but not great either. IF you're (or anybody in the forum) is interested in tips on visiting or becoming a volunteer, just drop me a note and I'll gladly share any insights. I started as a regular volunteer, did a reenactment on the Priest crew (the Party Wagon) one year, and gradually worked up to being a driver, after several years crewing different vehicles. It can be a lot of fun and you meet some nice folks. (not to mention the GREAT photo ops!!!Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]!!!)

That does sound like alot of fun. i don't know how far of a drive it is from here. The only time I've really been to KY was on a nonstop drive there and back and I was on auto piolet for most of it. Hope to make it there one day though.
