Sheila,
i was going to 'warn' you that the P-38 can be a bit tricky w/ the muliple wing and boom sections. alignment, angles, dihedral & what-all.

then i remembered that your kits already look better than mine!
Big Smile [:D]

but be sure too do a mock-up w/ masking tape & test fit all the major sections w/ one another.

and make sure you post it over on the aircraft side !!

Just wait sheila, in a few months, (if you post a lot a day) you can pass shermanfreak in posts, and you can learn all sorts of stuff----not that it matters in the real world.....wait---I thought modeling was the real world....well, any ways, don't spend to much on models--otherwise, you will have to stop getting other things--like gas, and clothes and food, and college, and taxes!

Sheila;

A late, but very sincere welcome to the family. The darkside is getting less dark with ladies joining the frey!
The models you've done are really terrific. But expect your modeling time to go down, now that you're in here with us!
Oh, and get some pictures of you and your hubby posted so Sherman and some of the other photo "wizards" can set you up with your own fan club!

Again, welcome.

Sheila, that sounds like a line from an Alien movie! Tongue [:P]

I hope we are able to provide some diversion and maybe even information. Is armor your special interest? I just looked at your build-up posted here and it's quite nice -- a handsome job.

WELCOME!!!
Now....
Step one of entering this forum... check your bank account. My wife was happy when I told her I've been checking in here, rather than on evil bay! Well, sooooo many great ideas on this link that I've been building more and as a consequence, buying more!
Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D] DON'T READ THAT AS A BAD THING!!Tongue [:P]

Seriously though, it's a LOT of fun and it sure beats other sites I've logged into. Welcome to the crowd... now, when you're ready to start operating the real thing, give us a call and we'll introduce you to another catagory of crazies!

Welcome Sheila!! Very nice job on the amphip btw ( I just saw that but figured I'd post on this one ).

It's probably just as well that you got your own logon as your progress is so rapid I imagine Chris will be getting jealous and changing his password soon to keep you off his logon. Wink [;)] Big Smile [:D]

Chris, you have trained her well in the ways of the dark side. She's doing really good! Keep up the good work Sheila! Big Smile [:D]

Oh, and don't listen to Robert, I am too house broken, I just don't mind very well Wink [;)] (Merlin's another story Big Smile [:D] )

Welcome Sheila!
you must watch these miscreants closely . . .
soon they will be waxing eloquent about individual track links and gobs of PE! Big Smile [:D]

this is the danger of the dark side!
additional bits that dwarf the original cost of the kit in bot $$ and time!
Beware! Wink [;)]

enjoy,

Hi there,

Welcome to the FSM community... I myself am new to this forum and to armour itself... Hope to learn a thing or two from you and the rest...
wildwilliam gave me this welcome note..

Nandakumar,
welcome to the Dark Side!
the insidious pull of the armor lures another innocent airplane modeler!
ed.
Somehow the same is felt by Michaelvk and nmayhew

Hmm... wonder whats in store for us... No disaster seems to have struck so far.. But I aint started on my panther yet ...

Anyway enjoy yourself.. And feel free to post any queries.. The guys here are very helpful and friendly.. even though they claim to belong to the dark side!! Evil [}:)]

Cheers,
Nandakumar

Nice to finally meet you Sheila. Now could you talk to my wife and tell her we could have some bonding time together if she would take up model building.
