King tiger questions...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 8:10 PM
Hello there to all King tiger fans.

Corrently I'm building a super detailed (naturlly a Tamiya) king. verlinden, eduard you name it, it's all gonna go in there.
I'm looking for good intirior pics or drowings on the net. any ideas where to look for?

I've found a good link with photos at:
http://www.clandavidsonusa.com/wac/afvphotos/german/TigerII/tigerII.htm
However it dose not provide good pics of the gunner position. There is a lifesize doll dressed up in a tanker uniform and just abou it.Dead [xx(]

Anyway, any help or info, including good extirior photos from the arddens offensive will be appricated.
Thank's in advance Sh.Big Smile [:D]

I have a few links on my computer at home, I will post a few links after work.

Are you looking for colors or just general shots?

Hi there Erock68! thank's for the quick response.

Well any color of specific tanks or general phots will be nice!

My main intrest is the Ardennes offensive, the ones that comes "in the box decals"

Red 204 outlined with white, 501st.
Blue 332 outlined with white 501st.
Red 008 outlined with white 501st.
Or any king tiger of the 501st. of the period.

However, anything else will be helpfull!

Hi ShModeler

Try the site Ardennes 44:
http://ardencim.free.fr/page38.html

This is the link to the thumbnail page for 61 detail pics of a preserved Tiger 11 used as a memorial in La Gleize Belgium. The interior is shot, but outside is not bad.

Don't ask me what unit the beast was originally from......it's probably been overpainted more times than you have had hot breakfasts, and the markings may or may not be based on the original scheme.
