I have spent more internet hours on this subject than all the others combined.

http://idfmodelling.free.fr/refvehicle.html this link is a listing of IDF fighting/support equipment.

NO German stuff is listed.

I have to correct myself Whistling [:-^] it seems the "English" company was 2 crowmwells, still in British "racing" green and the "Russian" company fought  H-35 tanks.

I will start this build with a VERY sandy covered Cromwell in 1/48 and after that I think I will shoot for a kitbash of the SuperSherman also in 1/48

I will get my son to build a 1/35 Supersherman {so I have a nice base to cheat...ah model after.

Ok I have some New wip pix for yall. First I put the body together and started on the placement of the spare tire mount. It's near the rear of the jeep on the right hand side of the vehicle (Image):

I put a line where I need to cut a peace off for the mane tire clearance.

Now at this time I was looking over my wheels and thought why use wash to mark the holes in the wheels, I should just drill them out. Laugh [(-D] So I did and they came out grate!!! The lower left corner I let one stay the way they came in the kit, witch one do you like?

Now for the spare I did the same but near the lugs there are two Inpressions for holes so they had to go to.

I know a lot of you mabe wondering just why is he jumping all over. I'm do some things that will need the same color of paint. Ka!? At this time I'm having a lot of fun.Big Smile [:D]Some minutes after that, I hit rock bottomDisapprove [V] when I lost a part for the TOW base then I GOT MADAngry [:(!] An said I will do better than the kit any way so I will make the part from scratch. I used K&S brass sheet .005 to make the handels (I rely don't know what there called). Here's the wip pix:

I thought "MAN THAT THING LOOKS GRATE" so what do you all think.

Oh and one more thing and I totley know that this is Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic] but I saw this on one of the IDF sites and thought I would ask you all the question that the one that put up this image asked. Ok the is the: Witch looks better the Girls the Ferrari or the Tanks.

Let's see if we can get a better response!!Wink [;)] As for me I know of a girl that builds model some times here an look just like the first girl in the pic. So you know wich I picked.Mischief [:-,] The car Laugh [(-D] No the Girl.

Hi all,

I'd be interested in coming aboard with either an Academy Merkava III or a Trumpeter Ti-67. I've never got around to building Israeli armour, so this is a great excuse!

R-34 -- the girls. Hands-down. There's lots of Feraris and Centurians in the world but every girl is a one-of-a-kind!

ah, the blonde and the Healy in the backround thank you very much.

I remember walking in the Ben Yehuda Mall with my wife and saw a tanker on a date, ah SHE was the tanker and carried an UZI, he was a ground pounder with an M -16, they must have got them real cheap since they were not using the Israeli Galil.

I'm right on track to be able to post pics by the start date (ha!), looking forward to starting. Got to ck the base M60 kit, I may end up doing a Megach6 Gimel, not sure. Stil plan to do it for early in the "Peace for Galilee" op, relatively "clean", no mantlet M2, orig (if any) smoke syst.

I will add the new people to the list when I get home from the hospital.  The internet connectionhere just isn't realiable enough to do the edit.  The admins are retarded here, trust me.

As for the girls, tanks, or car, well I enjoy all.  However I LOVE a tasty treat, especially with hands on.  I'll let everyone else determine exactly which one I meant by that.

Yes this build is set to go, my apoligies for being out, been busy prepping for new baby, spending almost a week in the hospital when baby came and now home with baby.  I will try and get in here tomorrow(Saturday), and get everyone elses names added thus far, and what they are going to build(if they have made up their minds yet).  Feel free to take your time building, as this GB is a year long affair.  I probably won't do a whole lot on mine real fast.  I will be trying to find and hoping someone comes out with some PE and other AM stuff for it.  During that time, for a secondary build I plan to try and pickup a Merkava, and maybe do a fictional IDF of some sort.

Hi Fantacmet,

Good heavens, family additions are probably the best reason of all for being away from one's workbench! You must be dropping with fatigue!

No worries -- I'll try to dig out that Merkava in the near future, and the Ti-67 will be in the mail before long.

Best wishes,

Wow, first it was people wanting me to move it further out, past april to mid or late may at some point.  Now people are getting antsy.  Hrm.  I've been getting antsy myself to be honest.  I'm gonna do mine with the working suspension.  How does April 1st sound?  No it's not an April fools joke.  For that I could get photo's of the real thing and photoshop it to look like a model, as an April fools joke, but I'm not much for April Fools for some reason.  I tell you what, I'll do this kind of like a democracy for this.  If 3 of you agree to start sooner, and no more then one person opposes it, then consider the start date changed to April 1st.  The finish date will remain though, which wouold give a hair over a month.  White_R34, I replied to your message to me over in the auto section.  I have no idea how to create a PM, only reply to them.  I'ev been all over this thing and haven't a clue how to do so.  It's not even int he help section of the website.  ARGH.

I actually have to take the photos first, that's the stumbling block at the moment. I'm using a "hand-me-down" camera, not sure how well it will work, and have to get the lighting right as well. Been swamped at the shop, no time in the evenings as yet. I haven't even worked on a model in two weeks or so.

I to use to use a hand-me-down camera:

and my computer is a hand-me-down all so one I got the pc from my brother-in-law I got the all in one uint my self. and with that old [PENTAX] I would take photos have them printed at Wal-Mart then scane them on the all-in-one edit them and save them in my pc folder thin a friend told me about Photobucket and I login and set up my new album and started up loading my images. Here are some of my first images take'in with that old [PENTAX].

I haven't been on FSM for a long, long time, over a year now, but am here now!  I'd love to join in, with a Trumpeter 1/35 Ti-67 also called the Tiran 5.  This is a captured T-55, upgraded by the Israelis.  The kit is started, but not much:

The suspension units attached.  Some parts added to the upper hull.  The hole in the base, for the switch (no plug for the hole!), filled in.  Don't know if it's no more than 10%, but it's not a lot anyway, hope this is OK.
