Gun barrel camoflauge???

Since my splinter camo painting isnt working, I decided to turn to something alittle easier.... so I will be doing my first ever 1:72 dio , and first thing i need to pester yall about is what I would use to make like tree branches and grass and leaves and stuff like that hanging off of my models??? It would be the gun barrel of a panther or PzKpfw IV G or J model, and a hanomag SdKfz 251/1 D. Must be 1:72 scale, and look real and proportionate. Thank you for your help.
