I saw the same model listed on greatmodels.com for over 42.00. I think you got a good deal on your kit box1.

Glad it helped Box1

Yeah, some of the old Tamiya wasn't as good -probably good for the day. The older stuff are the ones with MM in front of the number. Tamiya now is very good.

Watch out for early Academy - kits with the low 1300's - they are copies of the old Tamiya

Thanks for the link Build 22, that will help if i get stuff from ebay again.

I was jus a bit worried coz i have only ever done Tamiya before [:0], i know what asheltered life iv had. This was back in the 70/80's and if i remeber some of the Tamiya stuff wasnt that good back then. I remeber big holes underneath! and slots above the drives. (motorized kit converstion)

It will be fun to try somthing new!

I have only been back into modling a few months and i already have a growing collection of kits waiting for me. Big Smile [:D]

Relax Box1,

I don't think you got "stitched up". Most all kits are descent in one way or another. In terms of value - it may be more than some people would pay for it.

Here's a site that may help a little next time:

http://www.amps-armor.org/Reviews/AmpsReviews2.asp

Now don't take that as gospel. Some of these "fair" kits I have done without a problem and have made some nice models but might not be 100% accurate.

Good luck

the newer CMK kits look good it that the old ones were just let down by the old tamiya kits in the box and at a high price i paid £35 for my Ostwind and was very disapointed when there was an old Panzer IV in the box.

Oh dearSigh [sigh] I sounds like i may have been stiched up!

I paid £17 ($28.50) from a guy on EEvil [}:)]bay it does includ P+P

The PE is Eduard so the guy on ebay says, i found the kit at http://www.militaryhobbies.com/product.cfm?ProductID=1857 where its up for $35.

Are CMK kits not that good then?

They are asking too much for an old tool Tamiya kit and some aftermarket parts. I have the CMK Bergepanzer IV and it is old tool Tamiya as well. I don't think I paid more than $15 for it.

I agree w/Spamicus

You guys are closer than we are to the Czech republic - I've seen them for less

I have a couple CMK kits - good clean detail -individual links on the treads (at least in these kits)- alittle bit of scraping. They make good aftermarket resin products as well. My luck has been good.

I don't know about the tamiya/cmk combo, though

I haven't seen this particular kit, but I built a 35t CMK kit a while back and it had some problems, but turned out okay. I don't know what kits go for in the U.K., but $33 for a CMK kit seems a little steep to me.
