Guide Horns

Just wondering if the guide horns on a Leopard 2 A5 are metal. I have alot of ref. pics and most don't show them to well but they look like they are not metal. I have one though that shows a few here and there that have a shine to them. I am about to start work on the tracks and was just wanting to try and get them looking good as I can. Thanks.

They're called center guides and they are steel. The flat surfaces facing in and out would be kept pretty shiny by wear, the edges facing front and rear would not.
