Ed, I have the "vanilla" M113 APC kit instructions on my computer, but if you can wait a day or so, I can dig out the ACAV instructions and scan those.

Phil H,

Similarly to the starter of this forum, I now possess a Tamiya M113 ACAV (obtained from ebay). I didn't even get the Japenese instructions - mine was absent of any instructions - aaaghhhh.

Is there any chance that you are still an active armour modeller and still have that pdf you referred to???

I could really do with them if you wouldn't mind.

My email address is ed_bartz@yahoo.co.uk (file size will not be an issue).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Ed

Guys,

Thanks for all the help and offering to send the instructions.  Tamiya did respond to my email, and are going to send me a hard copy via snail mail.  Thanks again for all your offerings of help!  Wish the rest of the world could be like this forum.  We would definitely live in a better place.

If you don't hear from them, I've got them ready to go - packed in a 2.2mb PDF file, if your email provider can accept attachments that size, if not I can do them as individual pages.

Thanks guys!  After my initial disbelief (that I mised that), panic, and being p'd off, I emailed Tamiya.  If for some reason they don't send me the directions, I'll definitely call on you guys for copies.  Gino, thanks for commenting, but everything in the directions is in Japanese.  I'm still feeling my way through modelling after being out almost 30 years.  When I did build "back in the day," I was only 10 or 11 and wasn't very good at all.  I'm looking forward to being at the point where I won't need to refer to the colors in the directions and be able to paint just by looking at it.

Thanks again guys!

I'm pretty sure I have these instructions in English somewhere, but I'd have to dig for them (built the kit around 1981). Certainly I have the instructions for the ACAV kit, which is nearly identical.

Maybe check in with the guys in the M113 GB, as I'm sure someone there will have them - if not, give me a yell and I'll see what I can dig up.

EDIT: I have the instructions in front of me - drop me a PM with your email address and I'll send them.

Most of Tamiya's older kits are in all Japanese.  Why do you need them in english anyways?  It is just a schematic with part numbers and arrows showing where they go.  Paint #s are usually called out in english with the corresponding color in a chart somewhere in the instructions too.  The painting instructions are usaully wrong anyways.

I'm picking up that same kit in a few days (waiting on a payday).  If you don't have the instruction sheet by next Friday, lemme know and I'll burn you a copy of mine and send 'em to ya...

Guys,  I won this model on ebay quite awhile ago, and it's been sitting in my stash.  I pulled it out this evening just take a look at it, and the instructions are in Japanese!  (Duh!)  I know that this model is OOP, and without English directions I'm screwed.  I'm hoping that someone has an English version, or can point me in the right direction to get a set of directions.  Much thanks ahead of time for any and all assistance.
