Mojodoc's right - a 1/12 bike will be twice as big as a 1/24th.  But it depends on how you do the math; twice as big in each dimension means it's 8 times the model, right? Wink [;)]

I picked up a 1/24th airfix Ducati a few months ago while I was working on the other side of the pond.  I haven't quite finished it yet, but it's been fun.  But it's not nearly as detailed as the Tamiya 1/12 bikes these other gents have shared.  I look forward to doing one of those in the future.

Thanks Matt....I like the "Mike Hailwood" Ducati! I've seen a few of Tamiya's bikes I'd like to build.

Thanks again Matt!

Go ahead and build a bike!

There aren't many here on these forums, but they're here. A 1/12 model will be twice the size of a 1/24, but the smaller ones are far and few between. I've built quite a few of the 1/12 Tamiya kits over the years and can highly recommend them!

Here is a Tamiya 'Mike Hailwood Replica' Ducati in 1/12, and the rim diameter is about 1-5/8 inches.

This is the Tamiya Ducati NCR Racer.

I'm looking at building a motorcycle model. I notice that the model manufacturers that have them list them in 1/24 and 1/12 scale. I have a good idea of how big 1/24 is, but i can't get a feel for 1/12th. I assume it is larger than 1/24th, but by how much? Any other info. on motorcycle modeling would be helpful. I don't see alot posted on this subject.
