Clear Coat.

I've used Tamiya clears straight out of the can with excellent results. It's now all I use. You can thin it with laquer thinner. A really good one is that cheap all purpose laquer thinner from Home Depot. I'm not sure which clear your talking about (their laquer spray can or acrylic bottle) but both will mix well with this laquer thinner.

There is a link aroud here some where to a site ["Swanny's Models" I think it's called] and there is an excellent article on how to use Future Floor wax and even has alternate names for the product for those out side of the US. Could some one make a link for him. I haven't gotten the "creating a link thing" down packed yet.

I can get future here in Canada (I think?) I will pick it up and use it on the next kit. And you are right about the thickness of the clear coat. I guess if I were to thin it out a bit that could be of great help. I will that a shot.

I've always thinned Tamiya Clear a little to get the right consistency, but in truth, it's been years since I've used it.
Can you get Future where you live?
Truly, mate, it's everything people says it is. Goes on easy, lays down flat, dried very hard, clears up canopies and windscreens (then you gotta do better on the interior and cockpit detail).
I thin the Tamiya with isopropyl alcholol. I also have Tamiya thinner. But I just don't use the stuff anymore - I've found a better product.
