Nice 'n tasty build Mike!

It's refreshing seeing an old favorite in a different finish, and this one stands out. Bow [bow]

I would also be extremely pleased. That's one great looking Shelby Cobra!

Could you give us more information on your research finding?

The paint really looks good. What is the color and how did you apply it?

Thanks for showing your contest quality project.

R.W. - As for the research/findings, I usually go to Ebay motors first because there's always good engine shots etc. on there.  The car I tried to replicate was on there for sale somewhere in Arizona/Texas.  I saw it and that was "it".  Other than that I can't remember anything.  LOL  The paint itself is Testors Acryl Silver shot through an airbrush.  For silver bodies, I've always used Testors because it's not a metal flake, and looks natural on a 1/24 scale build.  The kit is the Revell version.

Thank you for the kind compliments guys.

Ahhh....the A/C Cobra....one of the best looking little cars ever made....along with the Ferrari 250GTO and the 288GTO.....
Nice model....what's the kit?  Is it the Fujimi kit?

I was in a slump and the mrs. picked this one out for me to build.  Nice little kit.  I didn't know how I was going to paint it until I started researching the car.  This is a build of an actual car that inspired me to replicate.  I made the decals on my computer using Microsoft Word, I also added photoetch parts from Protech and used Shabo wheel transfers for the side-walls.  I used Alclad II for the wheels, side pipes, and steering wheel to rework the chrome and clean up seams and am extremely pleased with the first time effort.  Lastly, I used a new technique to simulate the "wood" steering wheel.  Thanks for looking.
