70 Mach 1 w/ the 351 Cleveland

Howdy all,

Just picked up Revell's lastest, the 70 mach 1 and hada few questions...I want to make this build as closely as to my Dad's and I just finished restoration and I have a few questions...

The first one is, is there any Aftermarket company that makes the "Shaker" hood and the air intake for the 351.. This was a an optional order package and on the kit, they just supply you with a hood scoop....

I did surf the net and I saw a few resin AM items that delt w/ the whole body which included the Shaker hood & intake but not for $65.. Just need the Hood & Air intake..

Also, can't think of the name but I believe its based out of Australia but I would need decals in white that have the center pinstripe along with 351 in white which was a rare on our particular car..

On last thing, I also would need steel rims which again was a one of on this car... Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Flaps up,

Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

Butz,

The scoop looks like the ones used on the 428CJ.  You may be able to source one off of a 69 from either Revellogram or AMT (if the correct one is not in the kit. Mine's at home many miles away).  The actual intake between the scoop and the air cleaner may need to be scratched if its not in one of those kits.  You may need to fill in the area surrounding the scoop somewhat with sheet styrene as the scoop from the other kits will be 1/25 rather than 1/24.  As to the hood stripe, Fred Cady might have made a decal set of hood stripes.  Unfortunately, he has been out of business for a while.  You might try Keith Marks, he has a set in black but I know he used to do his decals on an Alps printer.  If he still uses it, he might be able to print you a set in white.  His site is

As to the stock steelies, I don't know you might try some of the resin guys.  My favorite source for all things automotive (model speaking) is www.rocketfin.com  Click on the automotive links page and have fun.  Hope this helps.
