My "recipe" for the finish on this kit is Dupli-color truck and van paint avalible at any Wal-mart, and most parts stores. You can also use any of their auto touch up sprays as well, the paint is the same, the difference is the size of can.
The auto touch up spray is in a smaller can than the truck and van paint.

Oh, the color choices are different too.
You can visit them at:
http://www.duplicolor.com/
Be sure to check them out. They have their "Mirage" series of paint that changes color!

After applying the final coat, and letting it cure for --I think 2 days is what i gave this one-- I wet sanded with 2000 grit 3M wet-or-dry paper, and then hand polished with 3M part # 39007 Imperial hand glaze.

That's all! No clear or anything!

Thanks for all the good coments!

Awesome reason why I asked about the kit is my sisters first car was a Beretta GT and I would like to do one for her....I agree a V6 option would be nice not to mention it would allow for the 4 cylinder to be thrown in the spares box!

Definitely nice to know the only real problem was the exhaust fit....AMT kits typically suffer many other downfalls...Sounds like a nice kit!

This kit has absouluetly all of one issue. The exhaust needs help to fit properly. Creative bending fixes this. Otherwise, the kit fits like a glove.
Has absolutely one of the best tail lenses I have seen in a kit. Molded in red clear plastic, the lens can be painted from behind to look just like the real thing, save for the back-up lights.
Included is the Quad-4 2.3 litre engine. (a V6 option would have been nice)

Any one who has or can get-----It's a very good project.

Thanks Darrin

Cool wheels. Even if it is just a model. Great job. I am not into auto but I think I know a good job when I see one.

Well, I finally got my own hosting site, and Here's a somewhat mediocre quality photo of one of my builds.

It's AMT's 1991 Beretta GTU in 1/25 scale.
Hope you like it.

I'll show some more when I remember what I did to get it to show Ha Ha!
