Williams FW24
Posted by deadhead on Saturday, November 29, 2008 4:14 PM

This will be my first real kit after being away for a spell. I am thinking of getting the Scale Motorsport kit for it. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on this kit they would like to share?

Have you worked with SM before??? I found the CF a bit fussy and switched to ST27 CF..

Dustin, I have never had an experience with SM. I have used Modelers CF decal in the past with mixed result.

I am getting back into the hobby after an extended lay off and want to get some of my F1 stash in the built category. I am attempting to make the Williams a real looker, but not for any contest, just for me. At $95 the Scale kit is pricey but I am unaware of anything else on the market, please inform me!

St 27 and Lions roar make a smaller PE set for the fw24. Are you going to display the model with the engine in site or covered ? If it were me i would buy a couple sheets of CF and the ST27 grade up parts before id jump into the SM kit. 30+ bucks and your going to have a nice model but thats me. take a look at Strada Sports... Kevin is super cool and he has a great store.

Thanks Dustin!

I believe with the coming of Christmas I should follow your advice and save some money!

Kevin's site looks great and he sure has the stuff!

Thanks again.
